Bring back the earlier version

I’ve owned Ticket to Ride for Mac for a couple years now. In summer 2016 they released a new version, which I downloaded, and it cost me all my boards, which I had to rebuy. Then I had to download each board a couple times. But I soldiered on. Now I’ve been playing the new version for several months and it’s boring as hell.

In the old version the AIs would attempt to complete tickets as a strategy to winning. Now all the AIs do is score as many points as possible by taking long routes. In the new version I choose two route cards and then randomly lay down tracks for points. I have to make certain I have one of the big routes if I want to win. So there’s no more strategy, or determining the most efficient routes, and if you get Longest Route that’s purely by happenstance.

I wish I could go back to the earlier version. Or that there was an option to toggle the AIs between ticket strategy and point accrual strategy. Or that I could get my money back. I got an iPad specifically so I could play this game and now it’s not worth playing at all.
